The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) will take part in four Solution Acceleration Plans (PAS) within the COP 30 Action Agenda, which will be held from November 10 to 21, 2025, in Belém (PA), Brazil. The initiatives address key themes for sustainability: restoration of degraded areas, efficient use of fertilizers, carbon removal in agriculture, and reduction of livestock emissions.
Developed in partnership with international organizations, these plans reinforce Brazil’s leadership in global discussions on soil and climate. Among the highlights is the plan coordinated by Mapa, with support from FAO, the World Bank, FOLU, and CGIAR, which aims to map degraded areas, stimulate investments, and finance the recovery of agricultural soils.
The initiative contributes to strengthening food security, creating rural employment, and restoring biodiversity.
