Until July 3, registrations for the award of the Brazilian Society of
Soil Science (SBCS) for theses and dissertations – Victor Hugo Alvarez Award
This award is granted biennially by SBCS during the Brazilian Congress of
Soil Science (CBCs) in two categories: dissertation and thesis. Within each category will be
the work in each of the scientific divisions of SBCS awarded.
Theses and dissertations defended between January 1, 2023 and December 31,
2024 that were presented to Postgraduate Programs recognized by CAPES, in the national territory; be formally presented by the coordinator of the Graduate Program, accompanied by Minutes or Defense Declaration; Be the author of the work of thesis or dissertation, as well as the advisor, partners of SBCS.
The diploma alluding to the dissertations and theses award will be delivered to each author of the
winning work or its representative and in each of the scientific divisions of SBCs, during the
Ordinary General Assembly that will take place during XXXIX Brazilian Congress of Soil Science,
in São Luís – MA, on September 24th.
