Until May 31st, registrations to appoint candidates for the Antônio Carlos Moniz Award to Merit in Soil Science are open. This award is granted biannually by SBCS, during the Brazilian Congress of Soil Science (CBCs) to a single professional who has, throughout his scientific life, contributed extraordinarily to the advancement of science or technology in Brazilian soil science.
The indication may be made by at least 10 effective members of SBCS or by institutions based in the country, on the recommendation of the majority of their collegiate bodies such as higher level or units (departments, for example), research assessment chambers or postgraduate or research or extension committees.
The award will take place during the CBCS in September, in São Luís, Maranhão.
