On World Fertilizer Day, Brazil takes another step toward technological independence in agriculture with the creation of the Center of Excellence in Fertilizers and Plant Nutrition (CEFENP), coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA).
The center was established with the mission of contributing to the development of a more competitive, sustainable, and inclusive agricultural sector, democratizing access to modern technologies for all rural producers.
The initiative brings together efforts from universities, Embrapa, the private sector, and government agencies, strengthening innovation and food security in the country.
The international launch of CEFENP is scheduled to take place during COP 30, in Belém, in November 2025.
